Tell Me a story from your mouth
Give me
give me a something
Please leave Nothing out
Tell me a story from you mouth
Make me....
Make me the good guy
not the woulda, shoulda could guy
Tell me a story from your mouth
Make me..
Make me a Villain
Oh won't that just be thrillin
Make me a story from you mouth
Make me
Make me a victim
you can fit inside the system
Make me a story from your mouth
Make me
Make me your saviour
have me re-direct your behaviour
Make me a story from your mouth
Sell me
Sell your potions
so I can swallow all these notions
Sell me a story from your mouth
Give me
Just Give ME the glory
let me wallow in my story
Tell me a story from your mouth
Tell Me a story from your mouth
Give me
give me something
Please leave nothing out
Tell me a story from you mouth
One day...
One day baby I'm sure you'll figure out
you're ONE sweet story from your mouth
One day baby I'm sure there'll be no doubt
You're one sweet story from your mouth.
This is my newest song. I'll post a little clip later maybe. It's almost finished I think but still a work in progress. From the age of two or so my youngest son would say to me at bed time- "Tell me a story from your mouth" which meant of course that he wanted a made up story from my imagination not one from a book. I've had this line for a while and thought I could work it into a guitar piece I've had for ages. But I only had one or two lines. Then the above came from nowhere yesterday and seems to work well with the guitar. I'll maybe post a snippet later.
I grew up on Galway Bay and the view of the hills in the Burren Co. Clare is more than familiar to me. Yet, as familiar as it is I have always sensed that it is always new. The time of the year and the quality of the light undress it in infinitely new and mesmerising ways. There was a storm yesterday and the dance of light was stunning as clouds would clear suddenly after a heavy downpour illuminating the landscape or the cup of tea nestled in your hand.
