As an individual there is a sense of living in the real. You feel like a really separate self who has choice and control over what your feel and experience as your life. Everything is an object to you (the subject). Then it’s not seen as it actually is. There are no separate things, no separate people- only in appearance. It’s a play of light. This can be seen at any time as there is no time or space- only the appearance of them and this is eternal and infinite. Nothing leads to this the collapse of You as a separate individual as there is already no ‘you’ to collapse. There is already only this play of light- boundless, unknowable, inescapable unconditional love.
I grew up on Galway Bay and the view of the hills in the Burren Co. Clare is more than familiar to me. Yet, as familiar as it is I have always sensed that it is always new. The time of the year and the quality of the light undress it in infinitely new and mesmerising ways. There was a storm yesterday and the dance of light was stunning as clouds would clear suddenly after a heavy downpour illuminating the landscape or the cup of tea nestled in your hand.
